At Tailwaggers we understand that the grooming process can be a daunting idea for owners. Our aim is to ease your concern by making the grooming experience as stress-free and pleasurable as possible for your dog. A well groomed dog is a healthy, happier and more confident dog.
Each booking has an allocated time slot that is tailored to your dogs specific needs. In this way we reduce the number of dogs waiting either to be groomed or to go home, as waiting is just as frustrating for our dogs as it is for us. With this in mind, please be on time to drop off and collect your dogs. Late arrivals may be charged and your appointment slot may be given to somebody on our waiting list.
Each dog is groomed at a pace they are comfortable with, we will not push dogs past their tolerence and stress levels. We believe in building nervous dogs' confidence in us rather than forcing them to have it all done at once.
Without regular grooming some dogs' coats can become severely matted and this can lead to a variety of health issues. Knotted and matted dogs will incur extra charges and in extreme cases we may have to clip all the coat off very short.
Each full grooming appointment includes the following:-
Nail check and trim
Bath and blow dry
General Health check including glands and ears
Full clip or strip
Lots of cuddles
We also offer a bath and tidy service which includes:-

Tidy in front of eyes, under tail and paws

Price List
To us it is important that your dog enjoys his/her pamper time. With this in mind we advise getting your puppy used to the process as soon as possible by booking some introductory visits. We accept puppies as soon as they have had their final injections.
First time puppy bookings usually last about an hour and are offered at a discounted price depending on size and age. They are purposely short and include some playtime to ensure the whole experience is fun. The introductory visit comprises a bath and tidy and an introduction to the clippers. No body clipping is done at this visit. This is also a good opportunity to discuss your future grooming requirements and what you can do at home to improve your dog's grooming visits.
